Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Phillips, a talented young defender who joins the Bluebirds ahead of the 2026-27 season. The 20-year-old centre-back returns home to Pembrokeshire, having spent the last few years in the Swansea City Academy setup.
Ben joined the Swans' Academy at a young age and has since featured regularly for both Swansea City's under-18s and under-21s. He was part of the under-18s side that reached the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup, including an impressive victory over Category One outfit Leeds United away from home.
The Pembrokeshire-born defender has also represented Cymru at under-17 and under-19 level, with his most recent appearance for the under-19s coming in October last year. Ben will officially join the Bluebirds upon the expiry of his contract with Swansea City and will be part of the club's recently-announced hybrid model, which enables players to train with the club on a full-time basis to help further aid their development.
