Haverfordwest County AFC is pleased to welcome Zach Thomas as the new Education and Community Officer, who will play a key role in leading the delivery of community programmes across Pembrokeshire.

Haverfordwest County AFC Appoints New Education and Community Officer

Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Zach Thomas as our new Education and Community Officer. In this newly-created role, Zach will help to grow and deliver the club’s community work across Pembrokeshire, supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality sport, education, wellbeing and community engagement programmes that benefit children, young people and local communities.

Zach, who is a fluent Welsh speaker, has previously worked as a Foundation Phase Assistant Coach and Youth Development Phase Coach at Barry Town United, and he also holds a First Class Honours degree in Football Coaching and Performance, as well as the UEFA B Licence. As part of his role, Zach will be delivering Physical Education lessons, football sessions, multi-sport activities and classroom-based wellbeing programmes within primary and secondary schools across Pembrokeshire.

As well as this, the role includes coordinating and delivering community initiatives, while Zach will also be present at men’s first team home matches at the Bridge Meadow Stadium. We are excited to officially welcome Zach to the club in the coming days, and look forward to working with him as we continue to grow our community provision across the county.

What comes next?

Zach will be working closely with the club’s existing community team to develop and deliver new programmes and initiatives that benefit the local community. We are confident that his experience and skills will be a valuable asset to the club, and we look forward to seeing the impact he will make.
