Haverfordwest County AFC suffered a third consecutive league defeat, losing 1-0 at home to Flint Town United on Saturday. A stoppage-time goal from J. Malkin decided a tight contest at the Bridge Meadow Stadium.

The result leaves the Bluebirds 12th in the Cymru Premier, with 10 points from 12 matches. They have now lost their last three games, conceding late in two of them.

How the game was lost

Haverfordwest created several chances but could not find a breakthrough. Flint grew into the game and their pressure told in the 90th minute when Malkin found the net. The goal came against the run of play in the closing stages.

Manager Wayne Jones told the club's media the performance deserved more.

The defeat follows a 1-0 loss at Cardiff MET and a 1-0 reverse at Colwyn Bay.

Haverfordwest's next match is away to 14th-placed Ammanford AFC on October 30. They will look to end their losing run and climb the standings.
